Help Regarding This Web Site

Control of Text Size – This web site is designed to work with a variety of text sizes, whether you need larger print to help visual impairment or you have a personal preference for readability.

  • Your first options are the larger letter A and smaller letter A that are at the upper right corner of every web page. I am not visually impaired, but I use the larger font sometimes to make the information easier to read. In other words, try out this feature!
  • If you need additional help on how to adjust text size, go to Help_Using_Internet_Browsers.

SEARCHING for information located within this web site

  • In a “search engine” such as Google, enter 99oh9 along with whatever words or phrases you use for your search
  • Then look for all the resulting search “hits” that have www.ninenineohnine.org in the link
    • EXAMPLE: 99oh9 “medicare offices”
    • EXAMPLE: 99oh9 “ralph nader”
  • For an even more accurate search enter site:www.ninenineohnine.org after the search words and phrases; this feature is available in Google and perhaps other search engine web sites:
    • EXAMPLE: “medicare offices” site:www.ninenineohnine.org

Printing pages and printed pages

  • Keep in mind that having your browser set to a larger or smaller text might have an impact on the printed copy.
  • There is a printer icon at the upper right of every web page to provide you with a print option.
  • A black-on-white Nine-Nine-Oh-Nine! logo will print at the top of the printed page, but the set of photos at the top of the web page and the dark blue band of links at the bottom will not print.

How to get back directly to web pages that are not on the Table of Contents to the left and you forgot how you got to them originally!

  • Go to the Site Map that will be coming, but unfortunately I have no idea when I will get to it. You can look forward to the future when it’s there. I have a very limited volunteer staff with which to get work done.
