Union Groups Endorsing Single-Payer: Regional, Multiple States
Special note: I titled this “Regional, Multiple States” because I am not an expert on whether or not a group considers themselves to be “regional” or “local.” These lists are simply my grouping of the organizations. If there is a better way to group them, then perhaps that presentation will be found elsewhere.

Service Employees International Union (SEIU web site) |
” (has) 2 million members in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.” (from homepage) In June 2008 the SEIU attendees supposedly passed Convention Resolution 105B regarding health care. This resolution included the support of H.R. 676. I wanted to post a link to the text of the resolution when it became available. However, the communication of the resolution has not been available, despite repeated telephone conversation requests by me to national and local levels, including to Local 1199. |
Note about the complete list:
I’ve tried to format this list and organize it in a useful way for your convenience, but keep in mind that these lists are not the complete lists of union group endorsers. If you do not find a specific union group of interest, you will need to go to the current list that will be displayed at the “All Unions Committee for Single Payer Health Care” web site (« which will be linked here when the web site is available).
